A Mind-Body Practitioner offers a deep understanding of what contributes to our emotional, physical and mental health via neuro-education, a deep awareness of the powerful mind-body connection and how thoughts contribute to physical stress, impacting the health and function of the nervous & immune systems.

The Mind-Body Connection Practitioner (MBP) certification course is comprised of four theory PDF modules + training webinars, integration tasks, 1 competency quiz + practical coaching sessions. Delivery is one module per week (theory PDF, teaching webinar + competency tasks) to absorb the learning, integrate the practices, self-reflect and solidify the knowledge through application. This course can be completed within 5-6 weeks, however you have 6 months to gain your certificate.

Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this module students will have a clear protocol of how to present and outline their learning within a client setting. They will gain insight into epigenetics research and be able to explain how beliefs shape personal reality, and how the power of the placebo effect can either help or heal. They will examine their own conditioned beliefs and mental narratives and use various evidence-based approaches to challenge old programs by demonstrating their understanding and application of the mind-body connection in action. Students will also learn and demonstrate their experience of applying mind-body tools to increase internal balance and awareness of their mind-body connection.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of this module students will have a sound understanding of the main parts of the brain, their functions and interactions with each other, and how these parts communicate with the nervous systems. Students will deepen their understanding of how neuroscience benefits the mind-body relationship, and how the brain makes new connections and rewires new thoughts. Students will use cognitive reframing techniques to examine belief patterns and challenge old perceptions. They will demonstrate application of identifying self-sabotaging patterns and confrontational skills in the context of metacognition, behavioural patterns, and memory reconsolidation. The power of visualisation will round out this lesson with an understanding around how to use the mind and brain proactively.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of this module students will be able to define psychoneuroimmunology and how it relates to mind-body health and behaviour. They will gain an in-depth understanding of the stress response and how client’s belief systems cause underlying stress patterns in the mind and body. Students will demonstrate a sound understanding of the autonomic nervous system and its’ branches, and learn different breathing techniques to induce homeostasis (balance). Students will complete a personal stress assessment and identify personal patterns of stress. They will implement a variety of strategies in addressing their personal stress and use science-based relaxation techniques and cognitive reframing tools to strengthen their mind-body connection.

Learning Outcomes: Upon completion students will be competent in their understanding of positive psychology practices, and the theory of human happiness using various exercises to shift focus, perspective and mindset, and thereby mood and behaviour. Students will learn how to design and implement a unique happiness blueprint and demonstrate understanding of Maslow’s hierarchy of human needs and its’ application within a holistic framework. They will demonstrate application of mindful attention, developing a growth mindset, and gratitude practices and examine their personal tendencies in relation to behaviour change. With a solid knowledge base, students will finish this course with a confident ability to explain the mind-body connection, how to identify maladaptive stress responses, and how to use a large variety of approaches and mind-body practices to rewrite unhelpful belief and behavioural patterns, and vastly improve health outcomes.

    Prior Experience: a professional background in facilitating 1:1 client sessions is highly advantageous but not necessary. We recommend our Holistic Life Coach Practitioner certification as the perfect foundation of both theory and practical experience if you need it.
