Did you know that Conscious thought is only 5% compared to Sub-Conscious thought being 95% ??
The conscious mind can process about 40 bits of information per second; the subconscious mind can process 40 million bits of information per second!
We’re constantly strengthening and creating new neural connections in our brain all the time without realising it. This is called neuroplasticity.
The conversations we have with ourselves and others, the information we expose ourselves to, our experiences, and our general way of interpreting the world around us, all influence our perception and internalisation of how we respond or react to what’s going on around us, and within us.
The result of these neural connections can be seen in habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving in our daily lives.
That means that no matter what you are saying, it’s more important what you are thinking! Especially when you are attempting to create change and new habits in your life. New ways of living and behaving require programming – or creating – new ways (patterns) of thinking.
Pay attention to your thoughts… Your thoughts are a direct reflection of what you believe is true or possible for you and they’re the key to planting a seed of new habit and behaviour change.
Start by tuning into what you’re thinking or saying to yourself right now…. become aware of the thoughts in your head and keep practising throughout the day, tuning in and becoming aware.
And remember, you have thoughts, but you are not your thoughts.
Not every thought you think is true… in fact, most of them aren’t! Choose your thoughts wisely and your feelings and behaviours will start to reflect that internal shift.
