For far too long the medical establishment dismissed the interdependent and influential relationship of the mind and body as a complementary whole, where thoughts have the power to influence physical and chemical changes within the body.
There is no more influential life stage than childhood when these patterns are first created.
They’re instilled early and strengthened over time by continuous exposure to life experiences and how we interpret them.
It’s a great shame that we don’t learn about the inner workings of our phenomenal minds and bodies whilst at school, when we’re readily absorbing and applying new information into our brains.
Imagine if we did learn about the conscious, subconscious and the basic parts of our brain as children…
- We’d hopefully develop into far less depressed and anxious adults.
- We’d be armed with self-awareness and the knowledge that we CAN change our thought patterns to alter our physical health and mental wellbeing.
- We’d be open to using our own internal power to be a positive force within our own experience.
The ‘bodymind’ is an energetically and neurologically coherent information network within your being. It’s constantly inputting, updating, transmitting and reshaping every cell of your body, every second of the day.
It’s a fascinating and complex relationship that has the ability to help or harm you, depending on how you use it.
The problem is, most people don’t know about the tremendous potential they have to influence their own mind and body in shifting energy, rewriting emotional stories, and healing their own dis-stress.
It all starts with your thoughts and beliefs, and how they’ve uniquely wired your brain by the repetitive patterns of neurons firing and wiring together through experience and individual interpretation.
Our life experiences are stored in the emotional part of our brain where the subconscious mind relates all experience to emotions and past stories. When this important requirement for the change process is not in alignment with the desire to change, the odds are heavily against you!
The mind exists in every cell of the body – not just in your brain or your conscious awareness.
Unfortunately most people try to make change by a conscious decision to change their behaviour, which is largely dependant on motivation and willpower to succeed. The concerning fact is, we don’t have an unlimited willpower at our disposal.
The brain likes familiarity, and change is not familiar. Therefore, the subconscious mind – with a vast amount of influence and processing energy – is the real part of the mind that ultimately makes the decision about whether the change will stick or not.
If you don’t align the ‘whole’ mind – the bodymind – you’ll be relying on motivation to push you through until eventually your willpower runs out from exhaustion.
When you understand the mind-body connection and how to disrupt and replace your neural patterns, you can more easily rewire the brain for lasting change – the missing piece of the puzzle for true change to occur.
Our students and graduates find this information fascinating in understanding themselves on a uniquely powerful and profound level of ‘owning your own life choices’.
It really helps them awaken to their own limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging programs and BREAK FREE. (You can read what our Graduates say HERE).
